"VERY GOOD...but not perfect."
This song's great...I've never listened to this song (or even played the ZX series), but what I have here is great. The melody has wonderful harmony, and the feeling of the thing itself is epic. It gives off the mood that something big is about to come up, with our blue bomber either being:
A: The only one who can stop it.
B: The only guy who isn't lazy that can stop it.
However though...1 massive flaw.
1 FUCKING MINUTE? ARE YOU SHITTING ME!?!?!?!?!?!? Come on...with such greatness, it needs to be longer. I reccomend lengthining it to about 3 or 4 minuts, or making it more loopable. Still great as is however.
Author's Response:
It is a loop
The original is like this too.
Plays like this and loops.
Try and find the original ZX version, you'll know what I mean.
If you want longer songs, I have them, just give me a call.

"I hate pop...but this is one of the exceptions."
As far as pop songs go, even considering the weak "competition", this is extremely good.
Your voice complements the music and the lyrics extremely well: It's quite good, and the lyrics themselves are very...touching. Their warm-hearted, sweet, and express love in an extremely good way.
The music is expendable by itself, but it works extremely well with your voice and lyrics. They get louder when appropriate, and soften at the right times, making for an excellent mixture. The song isn't perfect, but it's damn good and you should do more.

Thanks, it's nice to know that even those who don't favor this style of music still can find enjoyable qualities in it. I actually am not a fan of excessive pop sound either. A lot of my songs end up sounding a little overly pop because I have a tendency to stick to synths because it makes the writing process easier when I can immediately hear the results of my musical ideas. I was considering replacing some of the synths in this song with live instruments before I finished it but I ended up not changing anything. I do still plan doing it eventually though. I think my favorite genre would be rock, and I have some songs in the making that are much more rock sounding. So stick around if you'd like to hear something less poppy. :) Thanks for the great review.

This is a great piece of music right here. It gives off the feeling of an epic battle better then pretty much anything out there.
The main melody is certainly familiar (what game is this from? >__>) and has a great beat. The thing that makes it totally epic however, is the awesome DRUMMAGE!!! The drums keep the beat, and unlike others where it settles and helps the mood for songs, this CREATES the mood. It goes fast without being tiring, and overall awesomeness. Not to mention that it loops perfectly. And to keep everthing even BETTER, it's loud, which sets the tone perfectly.
The only problem with this is that it gets a bit repetitive, but since it's a loop, it should be. And it still sounds great.
+ Best drums out of nearly every music piece.
+ Epicness feel is done perfectly.
+ Long for a loop.
+ Main melody is awesome.
+ Loud...very loud.
- Something just feels missing...
9.2/10

I'm so glad you realized the drums, It's definatly my favorite part of this song. And let me tell you, It's hard as hell to get drums in sync with a song when you are using your finger on a single key of your keyboard. But the turn out was so worth it. Thanks so much for the in depth review and I can't wait to see more.
Really, Best drums out of nearly every piece? This was my first attempt at even make my own tempot to drums, it cant be THAT GOOD :P
At some point I may make a full song out of this. Thhe feedback has been insane!

"Possibly the greatest song in the audio portal."
Ok, to make things clear, I didn't enjoy Ocarana of Time a whole lot. I thought that it wasn't all it lived up to be, though it's a fairly enjoyable game. I didn't think the soundtrack was impressive either...
....but this however....
This submition is purely good. It starts off with a meloncholy (lol more than 8 letters) sound, but it is purely beutiful. After a 2 second silence (well placed I might add) we get a noticably happier soundtrack...not too happy to make it totally chage, but still happy. The background sounds begin to show off here, with much more depth than the original. It's almost perfect...even though it's kinda repetitive, it's still awesome.
Then we change at 3:30. The chimes come in, the vocals engage, and then the sounds come in with a thunderous clang. It turns into pure awesome for a few seconds...then goes into a better version of the beginning. Things like this is what songs are MADE for.
It ends perfectly...with the clang....than the sparkle. Perfect ending.
Overall...perfect song. It not only exceeds practically all other songs in the Audio Portal (which is hard to do), not only does it EXCEED the original song...it stands completely out on its own.
Kudos, this song is exactly what people would love in a great Video Game. I hope you can make other songs like this in the near future...(please reply, I nearly never review)

Now, before you flame me, I'll state why:
The eletric guitar, while giving the song great flair, was extremely loud, and it really did hurt my ears to listen.
It sounds great, but the sheer loudness holds it back too greatly.
3/10
If it was quieter (I.E a little bit softer, but not much) it would collect an easy four, but it only gets a two.
Sorry.
Author's Response:
Yay! I hurt someones in a physical sort a way via the internet! :D well seeing how the others didn't complain about the loudness of the song, maybe your speakers were turned up or you had the headphones buried into your skull? Either way you my good sir are the second to give me a lower than 5 score! congratulations! you win nothing at all accept my condolences of being a dumbass for your speakers being loud, because the song really isnt as loud as you think, I think its more of your speakers/headphones >.> along with that the V1 usually means that there are some issues that need to be fixed and meaning that there will be a second one released sometime soon, maybe... JUST maybe I will make sure to have others enjoy and have your mind explode by the shear loudness of it :P

"Shows how great 8-bit can be when doen right."
This music is remminincent of a an old 8-bit game, but when you are halfway through, you begin hearing a Vectorman-esquie soundtrack that is catchy, listenable, and plain great.
The only problem is that at the end, it sounds sort of grainy.
9/10.
Author's Response:
Grainy effect was added on purpose. Obviously it's not perfect, but I only put it there cause I could think of no other way of ending the song than by bringing it back to that 8-bit type sound :P Thanks for the review.
